May Remain In Wheelchair/ECV Symbol Used In Mobility Access Guide

The Country Bear Jamboree permits uncomplicated entry for Guests with mobility disabilities. For instance, you may remain in your wheelchair or mobility scooter (ECV) upon entering and leaving Grizzly Hall. Furthermore, you can stay seated on your wheelchair or ECV during the show. You may also transfer to a regular seat once inside Grizzly Hall if you’d prefer.

Country Bear Jamboree was one of the original attractions when the Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971. It was one of the very last attractions Walt Disney personally helped develop. A crowd favorite then, it remains so today. Every time I visit the Magic Kingdom, the Country Bear Jamboree is a must-do on my agenda. As advertised, it’s “A Tasty Brew Of Down-Home Music & Merriment.”

The entrance for those not using a mobility scooter or wheelchair is directly in the front of the building. You can see from the photo above that you can enter through the doors beneath the Country Bear Jamboree building sign. Once inside the building, you’ll wait in the lobby before admittance to the show area.

Entering The Country Bear Jamboree With Wheelchairs And Mobility Scooters

Guests entering the Country Bear Jamboree Grizzly Hall with wheelchairs and mobility scooters enter at the far left side of the building. You’ll be heading toward the (International) Wheelchair Symbol, as seen in the images below. Then, follow the guide ropes around to the left. Take notice of the gentleman in the black baseball cap sitting in the wheelchair. He’s at the front of the line and getting ready to go up a slight incline into the building.

Once you enter the building through the mobility disabilities entrance, you’ll be in the lobby area specific to mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Consider this your queuing place before gaining admittance to the show.

A Cast Member will announce when it’s the time to let everyone into the main show area. Three sets of double doors will simultaneously open outward shortly after that.

Upon Entering The Show Seating Area, Follow The Cast Member’s Instructions

Upon entering the show seating area, follow the Cast Member’s instructions. They will direct the placement of your mobility scooter or wheelchair. Remember, you can sit in one of the available seats around your ECV or wheelchair if you want to.

At this point, you’ll have a front-row seat. The show is seventeen minutes long, so sit back, relax and enjoy the show in air-conditioned comfort! It’s a good break from those hot, humid, and sometimes rainy Florida days.

When leaving Grizzly Hall, proceed to the closest exit door on the right-hand side of the Hall. You’ll travel up a short, inclined hallway through the doors. At the top, you’ll exit the doorway and turn right. Go straight until you are outside of the building.
